1. Personal data

According to Art. 4 No. 1 DSGVO, personal data are all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, name, address, e-mail address, and, where applicable, other personal data necessary for the business transaction.

2. Collection and processing of your data

When you visit our website, send a contact request, or sign up for our newsletter, we process your personal data. In addition, we also process your personal data, among other things, to legal obligations, to protect a legitimate interest or on the basis of your interest or on the basis of a consent granted by you.

Personal storage of this information on Coral Innovation systems does not take place. We primarily use session cookies, which are deleted from your hard drive when you close your Internet browser. • d) Ordering our newsletter

  You have the option of registering on our website to receive our newsletter. For the registration to our newsletter, we use the so-called Double-Opt-in procedure. After entering your e-mail address in the form provided for this purpose, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a clickable confirmation link to your e-mail address. In this email, we ask you to confirm by clicking on the link that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm this within 24 hours, your registration will be deleted automatically. Only after confirmation of the link will we add your e-mail address to the newsletter distribution list and store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. The storage serves the sole purpose of being able to send you the newsletter. The only mandatory data for sending the newsletter is the e-mail address.

  Your consent to the sending of the newsletter is voluntary and can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. The legal basis for sending this newsletter is Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. a) DSGVO. At the end of each newsletter and on our website under the heading Newsletter, you will find a link, which you can use to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. 3. Data transfer to third parties

Insofar as this is necessary for the provision of the various services offered as part of the website, the platform, or our app, we will transfer your personal data to third parties in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, e.g., in the context of the fulfillment of contractual services pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) DSGVO or on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.

In addition, Coral Innovation uses external service providers, who, for example, process data on our behalf. These are carefully selected and commissioned in writing. They are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored by us. The service providers will not pass this data on to third parties. Insofar as service providers are located in the USA, we will inform you of this in connection with the respective functions. Countries outside the European Union (and the European Economic Area "EEA") handle the protection of personal data differently than countries within the European Union. We also use service providers located in third countries outside the European Union. There is currently no decision by the EU Commission that these third countries generally offer an adequate level of protection.

We have therefore taken special measures to ensure that your data is processed in the third countries as securely as within the European Union. With service providers in third countries, we conclude the standard data protection clauses provided by the Union. These clauses provide appropriate safeguards for the protection of your data with service providers in the third country.

4. Use of tracking and analysis tools

• a) Use of Google Analytics

  Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service. 5. Security

Personal information that is exchanged between you and Coral Innovation is transmitted via encrypted connections that correspond to the current state of the art. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protects the data transfer in this area and access-protected areas against illegal data access by third parties. This encryption method can be recognized by the key symbol in the lower menu bar of your browser window and the address beginning with "https://www.". In addition, we take technical and organizational security precautions to protect the personal data we store against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access. Coral Innovation uses a firewall system to protect against unauthorized access.

6. Your rights

Every data subject has the right to information according to Art. 15 DSGVO, the right to rectification according to Art. 16 DSGVO, the right to erasure according to Art. 17 DSGVO, the right to restriction of processing according to Art. 18 DSGVO, the right to object under Art. 21 DSGVO as well as the right to data portability from Art. 20 DSGVO. With regard to the right to information and the right of deletion, the restrictions according to §§ 34 and 35 of the BDSG apply.

• a) Right of objection

  You may object at any time to the use of your data for advertising electronic mail without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the prime rates.

  What right do you have in the event of data processing based on your legitimate or public interest?

  Pursuant to Art. 21 (1) DSGVO, you have the right, for reasons relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of personal data relating to you which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 e DSGVO (data processing in the public interest) or on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO (data processing for the protection of a legitimate interest). This also applies to profiling based on this provision.

  In the event of your objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising, or defending legal claims.

  What rights do you have in the event of data processing for the purpose of direct marketing?

  If we process your personal data for direct advertising, you have the right pursuant to Art. 21 (2) DSGVO to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such advertising. This also applies to profiling, insofar as it is connected with such direct marketing.

  In the event of your objection to the processing for the purpose of direct marketing, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.

• b) Revocation of consent

  Your consent to the processing of personal data can be revoked at any time. Please note that the revocation is only effective for the future.

• c) Right to information

  You can request information about whether we have stored personal data about you. If you wish, we will inform you what data is involved, for what purposes the data is processed, to whom the data is disclosed, how long the data will be stored, and what other rights you are entitled to in relation to this data.

  In addition, you have the right to have incorrect data corrected or to have your data deleted.   In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO in conjunction with § 19 BDSG).

• e) Exercise your rights

  To exercise your rights, you can contact the data controller or the data protection officer at the specified contact details. We will process your inquiries promptly and in accordance with the legal requirements and inform you of the measures we have taken.

7. Data storage and deletion

We store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the fulfillment of our legal and contractual obligations.

If storage of the data is no longer required for the fulfillment of contractual or legal obligations, your data will be deleted, unless its further processing is necessary for the following purposes:

• Fulfillment of retention obligations under commercial and tax law. These include retention periods from the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch (HGB) or the German Fiscal Code (AO).

• Preservation of evidence within the scope of the statutory Statute of Limitations. According to the statutes of limitation of the German Civil Code (BGB), these periods of limitation can, in some cases, be up to 30 years, although the regular limitation period is three years.
